Procedures
Hypothesis: On a math test, women will underperform under the stereotype (that men are better at math) compared to men.
- Two groups were made; one with females and one with males
- bot groups with strong and equal ablility in math were given the same math test
- In a second test, researchers tested participants literature skills

Results
Female participants significantly underperform on the math test compared to the equally qualified males participants
Males and females performed equally well on the literature

Conclusion
- Stereotype threat can affect any social or cultural group if the members believe in stereotypes
- Believing in negative stereotypes can harm the performance of group members, resulting in "spotlight anxiety"
