Pizzicato

Plucking the strings with a fingertip or fingernail

Bowing

Using a bow (horsehair or other materials) to draw across the strings, creating a continuous, sustained tone or pitched impuls

Lightly touching the strings at specific points while depressing the corresponding key to produce higher, pure tone
