Audio Tracks are the foundations upon which Pro Tools stands, all
audio clips will be on the Audio
track including the recorded
audio. Auxiliary Input Tracks are like Audio tracks but cannot hold
audio
clips. MIDI Tracks are one of two tracks that can have MIDI
clips or record MIDI data from, MIDI
instrument, commonly used
with the Auxiliary Input track. Instrument Tracks are the other place
that can
have MIDI clips or record MIDI, this allows MIDI to be
heard in a single track. Master Fader Tracks are
powerful tools
that cannot hold clips but used to control the level of an output.
Video Tracks relate to
what we can see, being able to let you
include video clips on your timeline. Basic Folder Tracks are
used
for the simple organization of tracks. Routing Folder Tracks
combines the organizational convenience of
a basic folder and the
signal flow functionality of an Auxiliary Input track, helping
simplify larger
sessions and play a part in the mix process. Mono
Tracks allow one input. Stereo Tracks allow two input
channels.
