Tell me two strengths?

1) I am very good at solving problem, in my everyday job I have to work with timelines and budgets and I can quickly adjust when things change.

Where are you most comfortable working?

I feel most comfortable working with people face to face and also in an outdoor environment because it's my favorite place to be!

What do you think will be your biggest job challenge if selected?

I think the biggest job challenge will be managing different kind of personalities and also managing client expectations

Tell me about your background and how you could apply it to this job?

As a project manager, I lead a group of people to get a project done. I know how to work well with different people. I have to adjust quickly when unexpected things happen. This is very similar to traveling and working outdoors, where there is bad weather and delays.

What led you to backroads? What brings you here?

I applied for a job at Backroads because last year, during a bikepacking trip, I met a guy who was working for Backroads, and he told me everything about his job. Ever since then, I fell in love with the idea of working at Backroads. I am looking to change my career to something that is more aligned with my values and passion.

What does it take to be a good leader?

A good group leader needs to be compassionate and be able to deal with different kinds of personalities and also be good at problem solving

Can you explain 2 of your weaknesses and how you have tried to overcome them?

As a project manager, I have to be very detail-oriented. I can lose track of the main goal. Over the years, I’ve learned how to deal with these two things and make them work together.

Another weakness I have is my grammar in English. In my job, I have to speak with people from all over the world. I am always trying to improve this in order to communicate clearly. I speak with my American friends, and watch Youtube in english.
