What is the attendance for lab? How many days can you miss?
Lab is mandatory and if you miss more than 2 labs then you fail the course.
How does tardiness work?
You are tardy if you come after the prelab quiz or leave without the TA's permission. (ecch tardiness is 1/2 lab absence)
Are make up quizzes allowed?
No make up quizzes allowed for any reason.
When are pre lab quizzes given?
First 10 minutes of lab

Who do you contact if you cannot take an exam during your normal lab period?
Alan (no one else!!). If notified in 24 hours in advance with proper documentation, then you may be able to take exam in another lab.
Describe a makeup exam?
They are compressive test essays that are given at the end of the term after the 3rd lab exam.
What are some possible excuses and their documentation.
Sickness - doctors excuse from a physician
Military - copy of orders
Car issues - part bill or police report
Official uab business - letter from sponsor
Death in family - copy of obituary notice
Legal issues - proper documentation from appropriate officials

Its independent study time for students to work with equipment and specimens before exams.
What is not allowed in lab?
Food, drink, children, tobacco, chewing gum, bare feet, open toed shoes, and shorts

Only if uab is closed then the lab will be closed.
