Rational Numbers

A number that can be expressed as a fraction and has a decimal value that repeats or terminates (ends)

Irrational Numbers

A number that has a decimal value that does not repeat or terminate (end)

Integers

Set of numbers that includes all counting numbers, their opposites, and zero (...-4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4...)

Whole Numbers

Set of numbers that includes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Set of numbers that includes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...

Perfect Square

Multiplying a number by itself. Finding the AREA of a square

Square Root

The inverse of multiplying a number by itself. Finding the side of a sqaure

Multiplying a number by itself three times. Finding the VOLUME of a cube

Cube Root

The inverse of multiplying a number by itself three times. Finding the side of a cube

Two numbers that are equal distance from zero

The distance away from zero

A function that reverses another function

The symbol that tells you to take the root of a number

Add exponents
