Reproductive Systems Vocabulary

Epididymis

Stores mature sperm

Vagina

The opening leading into the internal reproductive system. Also knows as the birth canal.

3.

Fallopian Tube

The tube that connects ovaries and uterus. This is where fertilization occurs.

Ovaries

Two eqq shaped organs that store a woman's eggs.

Uterus

Place in a woman's body where a baby grows/develops

Cervix

The bottom of the uterus/entrance to the uterus

Vas deferens

The tube that carries sperm up from the testes

8.

Urethra

The tube that carries urine and semen out of the body

9.

Anus/rectum

opening at the end of the digestive tract where feces (poop) leaves the body

10.

Penis

the external male reproductive organ. The urethra runs through it

11.

Testicles

where sperm are produced

12.

Scrotum

The sac that hold the testes and regulates the temperature of sperm

13.

Prostate

Supplies most of the fluid that combines with sperm to create semen.

14.

Seminal Vesicle

Produces fluids that activate sperm
