Fore-brain

Frontal Lobe

"forehead." High-order thinking and executive functioning. Judgement, planning, social interactions, and new memories.

2.

Parietal Lobe

" Top rear."Receives sensory input for touch and body position.

3.

Occipital Lobe

"Back bottom of head." Receives info from visual fields.

4.

Temporal Lobe

Just above ears." Auditory areas, receive info from the opposite ear, enables language processing.

5.

Motor Cortex

rear frontal lobe, controls voluntary movement.

6.

Sensory Cortex

Front of parietal lobe. processes touch and taste, movement sensations.

7.

Auditory Cortex

Temporal lobe, above ears. Receives info from ears.

8.

Association Areas.

Involves learning, thinking, remembering and speaking.

9.

Brocas Area

Left hemisphere, behind ear. encodes language/speech.

10.

Wernicke's Area

Decodes speech.

11.

Corpus Callosum

A wide band of neural fibers connecting both hemispheres and carrying messages between them.
