Instructions for Side by Side Printing
  1. Print the notecards
  2. Fold each page in half along the solid vertical line
  3. Cut out the notecards by cutting along each horizontal dotted line
  4. Optional: Glue, tape or staple the ends of each notecard together
  1. Verify Front of pages is selected for Viewing and print the front of the notecards
  2. Select Back of pages for Viewing and print the back of the notecards
    NOTE: Since the back of the pages are printed in reverse order (last page is printed first), keep the pages in the same order as they were after Step 1. Also, be sure to feed the pages in the same direction as you did in Step 1.
  3. Cut out the notecards by cutting along each horizontal and vertical dotted line
To print: Ctrl+PPrint as a list

13 notecards = 4 pages (4 cards per page)

Lens

Vital part of a camera. Light enters through the lens where photo process begins. Can be fixed permanently or interchangeable

Viewfinder

The area on the camera you look though in order to compose your shot. Not intended as a preview for your photo, but rather a tool to aid you in taking it.

Mode Dial

Allows you to select different options, suck as automatic mode, program mode, sport mode, or macro mode.

The main portion of the camera.

Shutter Release

The button used to snap the picture. It opens and closes the shutter allowing the necessary light and information to enter the camera.

Aperture

Affects images exposure by changing the diameter of the lens opening, which controls the light reaching the image sensor.

Image Sensor

Converts optical image to an electronic signal which is sent to your memory card.

LCD Screen

Found on back of the body. Varies in size on DSLR's, the LCD is mainly used for viewing photos after shooting.

Flash

On-board flash provides extra lighting during dim, low light situations.

Focus Ring

A ring typically found on the lens that allows manual control of the cameras focus.

Exposure Compensation Button

For controlling aperture, hold down this button. If not in manual mode, this button allows you to adjust exposure comp. Makes the image brighter/darker while letting the camera decide which setting to use.

Flash Button

Triggers pop-up flash. "Lightning bolt" symbol.

Lens Release Button

Unlocks the lens mount and detach the lens by rotating it.
