GUI (pronounced as “GOO-ee”) is short for Graphical User Interface.

Basically, a GUI is a way for us to interact with the computer without having to memorize and type individual computer commands.

How do we use GUIs?

For many years, people used only a mouse and keyboard to work on their computer. With the wide spread use of smartphones and tablets, GUIs are now designed with touchscreen or voice commands in mind.

What do I find interesting about GUIs?

What I find most interesting is the number of places GUIs can be found. When I think of GUI, I immediately think of a computer, laptop or tablet. But TVs also have GUIs that are designed to work with your remote control.
