Objectives:

The objectives of this lab are to analyze a common-source JFET Amplifier comprising of a JFET, a capacitor, and a resistor. We will theoretically calculate and verify the circuit parameters, and determine and verify the voltages ([img width="44" height="15" id="_x0000_i1025" src="file://localhost/Users/mariangergi/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/msoclip/0/clip_image001.png">

Results:

The Multisim and theoretical values were a close match, with the largest percent error being 2.3%. The values from the constructed circuit had a slightly larger percent error, with the largest being 12.6%. The percent error in the constructed circuit could be due to variations in the values of the resistors and transistor. The error was not large enough to think that the equipment was not working properly.

Conclusions:

I was able to determine that the common-source amplifier was out of phase with the input waveform. I also determined that changing VDD did not affect the voltage gain.
