Mixture

When Substances are combined WITHOUT CHANGING the chemical bonds. (mixtures can be SEPARATED PHYSICALLY)

2

Solution

A homogenous mixture where the PARTICLES are too small to be seen; it STAYS EVENLY MIXED.

3

Solvent

Any materials in which another material is dissolved

4

Solute

Any Substance that dissolves into the solvent

5

Electrolyte

Any Substance that separates and FORMS IONS in solution

6

Non Electrolyte

Produces NO IONS in a solution

7

Saturated

A solution is saturated if the solvent has DISSOLVED ALL of the solute it possibly can at a given temperature

8

Unsaturated

A solution is unsaturated if the solvent CAN STILL ACCEPT MORE of the solute without having any fall out of the solution ( at a given temperature)

9

Supersaturated

A solution is supersaturated if the solvent holds MORE solute THAN it CAN DISSOLVE at a given temperature
